“We have created a generation of workers that believe if they do the bare minimum at their job, then they need some special recognition or award. Many jail deputies and corrections officers feel that if they perform any required staff that they deserve special recognition. I think we got this way by giving every kid who plays an organized sport a trophy for just participating and parents trying so hard not to make their kids feel bad about anything.”
